The cellar of Villa Barberino is thought to date back to 600 AC, when the Longobards built the tower of the castle, whose tracks remain today through all the property. The cellar, dig in the rock and situated underground, is composed of three big rooms and a long passage made in bricks. Its visit is very suggestive and charming, as it contains and treasures 4000 bottles of 850 different labels of the best wines of Tuscany.

 

Many guided wine tastings, poetry’s evening, concertos and meeting are organized here.

Luciano with the passion for Tuscany produces some wines from his vineyards: a kind of Chianti, a kind of classic Chianti, a kind of Sangiovese, a kind of Chardonnay and a kind of Vin Santo.

NOCTIS
Chianti DOCG

It is a wine which was born in the high part of Valdarno area. Ruby red with purplish reflexes with fruity and spicy flavour. Soft, elegant and mildly strong.

HISTORY
Typical tuscan production, it is produced according to the rules of Chianti, it is red and it is left three months in barrels before being bottled. In your label you can see the coats of arms of the Valdarno’s towns, where we take the grapes for our wines.
